Delete your account

You can delete your MealCanvas account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1 — From inside the app

  1. Open MealCanvas on your phone.
  2. Go to Profile → Account & subscription → Delete account.
  3. Confirm. Your account and data are deleted immediately.

Option 2 — From the web (no reinstall needed)

Email us at privacy@jgapventures.com from the address on your MealCanvas account, with the subject "Delete my MealCanvas account". We'll delete your account and confirm by email, typically within 7 days and no later than 30 days from your request.

Email a deletion request

We use the email address you write from to verify the request. If you no longer have access to that address, include enough information for us to verify the account some other way (for example, the approximate sign-up date and the device you sign in on).

What gets deleted

Deletion is a hard delete with cascade across every sync table — there is no soft-delete or "deactivated" state. We do not retain a copy of your data beyond Supabase's short-term automatic database backups, which auto-expire.

  • Your account record (any claimed email and authentication data).
  • Your meal log, weight history, and saved goals.
  • Your saved "My Foods" entries.
  • Any meal photos we stored on your behalf in our Supabase storage bucket.
  • Profile and preference data.

What we keep, and why

  • Subscription receipts. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat retain transaction records on their side as required by tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution law. Those records live with the store and our subscription processor, not in your MealCanvas account, and exist independent of the deletion.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your MealCanvas account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Apple and Google handle billing — we cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf. Cancel before (or alongside) requesting deletion:

  • iPhone / iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → MealCanvas → Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Open the Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MealCanvas → Cancel.
