MealCanvas
Snap a photo. Log a meal. Hit your macros.
Snap it. Correct it once. It remembers.
An app by JGAP Ventures LLC.
How it works
- 1Capture
Snap a photo, hold the mic, scan a barcode, search USDA, or quick-add the number. Five paths, your call.
- 2Correct it
Alternate suggestions are one tap away, portions slide, and you can scan the barcode of the exact product. Every nutrition source is labeled, so you always know what you are looking at.
- 3It remembers
Your correction sticks. Next time that food turns up, MealCanvas already knows which one you meant. Calories and macros land on your day, the streak ticks up, and the weight chart updates when you weigh in.

What's inside
Snap a meal photo. MealCanvas identifies foods on the plate and estimates portions. You confirm or correct before it logs.
Press and hold the mic and describe what you ate ("a palm-sized chicken breast and a cup of rice"). Same smart-scan quota as photo logging.
The app learns your real maintenance calories from logged intake vs. measured weight change over 14+ days. Weekly check-in proposes updates; you decide.
Two-way sync. Calories and macros export out; weight from connected scales imports in. Opt-in, per-platform.
Line chart with target weight and an ETA derived from your set weekly rate. See whether your plan is actually working.
Open Food Facts database lookup. Cached for repeat scans.
Quick Add (calories only), Custom Log, USDA Search, Barcode. The smart-scan quota only applies to photo + voice — these paths are unlimited even on free.
Daily logging streak with vacation tokens so a busy week doesn't reset the counter.
Correct an item once — the low-fat milk you actually buy, your usual bread — and MealCanvas reaches for it next time instead of a generic database match. The more you use it, the less you have to fix.
Every food card is labeled with its source — USDA Foundation, USDA Branded, the app's own estimate, or your own saved foods. Tap the info icon for the detail. You decide what to trust, and you can change any of it.
Subscription-supported. Your photos, voice clips, and meal data are never sold or used for advertising.
